This is probably the most important piece of advice I can give you:
You need to learn how to take photographs before selling them online!
Before I tell you about 4 things I used to achieve my success selling photographs online, I was also an amateur photographer once trying to find out how I could make extra income. I thought I could do what the pros do without learning how to shoot properly and start making some money selling my photographs, but it never happened - learning how to shoot is what got me here.
Trust me, when I started doing my own thing after I got my first digital camera, selling my photographs was impossible. Something needed to change and I decided to start looking for better camera equipment. Big mistake! The camera could only do so much and I found myself with a nice camera that burned a huge hole in my pocket instead of making me money. Well, I finally realized something – and I hate to admit it – but my photography skills were just not good enough! Yes, it was hard to admit and it was a blow to my ego, but even if you think you’re good, its nothing like educating yourself and learning from the experienced. Only then can you develop yourself into a professional photographer with your own technical expertise, creativity, style, and flavor - these are traits people will pay a lot for.
Anyways, I learned using guides and books from the internet because I could not afford real courses at an Art Institute or photography lessons – plus they’re extremely expensive. So I used 4 guides, yes FOUR different guides and books I found online from professionals. I was serious about making income selling my photography online, so I weeded out and picked the best ones I found – which I will mention in a second on the next page.

After learning a bit from each of them, I saw dramatic results from selling my photographs online. I’m making on average $4,400 a month now online doing nothing more than what I love – photography! That’s ON TOP of what I make doing my own side gigs for clients at weddings and special events. It’s well worth the investment to LEARN!!
